BIG-IP Edge Client Components 1.0

BIG-IP Edge Client Components is F5 Networks’ desktop client package for secure remote access to enterprise networks through BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM). It installs the services and drivers required to create encrypted VPN tunnels, enforce endpoint posture checks, and streamline authentication, enabling users to reach internal applications and resources from Windows or macOS devices as if they were on the corporate network.

Key capabilities:

• Encrypted SSL/TLS VPN connectivity with automatic reconnect for a stable remote session
• Endpoint inspection and compliance checks based on enterprise policy (for example, OS, firewall, or antivirus status)
• Flexible authentication through BIG-IP APM, supporting single sign-on and multi-factor methods
• Split tunneling and DNS handling to balance security with performance
• Support for full-tunnel and application-specific access as defined by administrative policy
